Lil Yacthy, is a rapper, singer and a
music producer, best known for his single "One Night'. His real name is
Miles Parks McCollum and he is popularly known as King Boat, Lil Boat and
Nautica Boat Boy. He became famous with his two mixtapes called 'Summer songs
2' and 'Lil Boat'. It wasn't his first try at singing. The first two singles he
released"One Night" (August 2015) and 'Minnesota (August 2015) were
the ones that earned him his first fame. Both were released on his debut EP
(Extended play) named 'Summer songs. His current label roster includes 'Capital
Records' and 'Quality Control Music and a
Motown Records. Yachty has been working with prominent rappers ,
including 'D.R.A.M. and 'Chance the Rapper,' among other rappers. Yachty also
sells his own products on his official website. There are also snippets from
Yachty's private life on the website along with information on his upcoming
performances and tours. The website as well as Yachty's social media sites
provide a wealth of information on Yachty's music and daily life. Lil Yatchy
worked at McDonald's when he was in Pebblebrook Highschool. He met other
hopeful rappers. Yachty was attending Alabama State University to graduate and
then he left after only two months. Yachty's love for music was evident at an
early age. His father was the source of this inspiration who shared with him
diverse music during his childhood. In the year 2015, he chose the moniker
"Yachty" and relocated from Atlanta to New York, in order to be a
household name in life. He stayed with a friend in New York and searched for
opportunities to join the music industry. He also began to connect with street
fashion bloggers and built a decent number of followers on Instagram. He
collaborated with Burberry Perry, producer and beat maker and later his other
main collaborator K$upreme. They're collectively referred to as "The
Saling Team" and they were in Lil Yachty's bedroom. The first time he was
successful was when Drake's OVO Sound Radio aired his hit 'Minnesota'. His song
"1Night" was Lil Yachty's first major smash. The track's video was
put to YouTube and quickly became a viral hit. The SoundCloud version that he
sang "One Night" became a meme, media attention was on the singer.
