Alison Doody

Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is a famous Irish model and actress. Following her film debut with a small part in Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she was later cast to appear as a an archaeologist who is sympathetic to Nazis, Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Siobhan donavan was part of A Prayer for the Dying in 1987, Charlotte appeared in Taffin (in the year 1988) and Rebecca Flannery played Major League II. Doody was approached by a photographer and began to take on the role of model. Doody then began to build a career of commercial modelling. Doody was adamantly against glamour and sexually explicit work. This was a policy allowed her to pursue an acting profession. She was cast in a minor role as Jenny Flex for 1985's A View to a Kill after her name was picked by the director of casting. Doody was selected as one of the 12 most promising young actors in 1986 in John Willis Screen World. 38. Only 18 years old at the time she acted in the role Doody was, and still is the youngest Bond girl to date. A Prayer for the Dying which starred Mickey Rourke in 1987, was a different early film in which Doody played IRA Siobhan. Doody was seen as Archibald Craven in his dreams in the 1987 adaptation from The Secret Garden. She was Lilias. The Storyteller episode from 1988 featured her in the lead character in the film Sapsorrow as well as John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. Her first appearance was in the 1988 movie Taffin opposite Pierce Brosnan. Next, she portrayed Dr. Elsa Schneider as an Austrian archaeologist and Nazi-sympathizer opposite Harrison Ford. Doody acted in the film with Sean Connery, who played Indiana Jones' father. In the year 1991, Doody played alongside Jonathan Pryce in British mini-series Selling Hitler inspired by the published fraud known as The Hitler Diaries. Then she moved to Hollywood. She was chosen to replace Cybill Shepard in the role of L'Oreal spokeswoman. She was later cast alongside Charlie Sheen as Flannery, his wife and agent as Flannery's girlfriend and agent in Major League II. Doody who was off acting for more than 10 years, came back 2003 to take on a tiny role on her role in the British comedy The Actors in which Michael Caine appeared as her in a scene during an awards ceremony. The year 2004, she starred with Patrick Swayze alongside a TV adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. Also Doody was in Benjamin's Struggle (2005), which was a pamphlet that described the Holocaust. Doody was on Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. Doody appeared on RTE's medical drama The Clinic. The project was later shelved. Pam Jefferson, the character that she played in the comedy series E4's Beaver Falls during its first season of two years. She was a part of We Still Kill the Old Way which was a film from 2014. In November of 2018, she was awarded by the Almeria Tierra de Cine award and was awarded the honor of a star on the Almeria Walk of Fame.
