Lil Tecca
Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe (born on
26th August 2002) is known as Lil Tecca, is an American musician and rapper.
His 2019 single "Ransom", was his breakout hit. The song peaked at
number 4 in the Billboard Hot 100. The mixtape he released as his debut We Love
You Tecca (2019) included the track. It peaked at #4 on the US Billboard 200.
The mixtape also included singles "Love Me", "Did It Again"
and "Did It Again". His debut album"Virgo World" (2020),
debuted on the Billboard 200 at number 10. It contained the Billboard Hot 100
chart-charting songs "Dolly", and "When You Down". His
follow-up mixtape, called We Love You Tecca 2, was released in August 2021 . It
included "Repeat It" and "Lot of Me". Tyler-Justin Anthony
Sharpe was born August 26, 2002 in the Queens neighborhood of New York City to
Jamaican immigrants. Sharpe was raised in Springfield Gardens a neighborhood of
Queens, but later relocated to Cedarhurst in Long Island. From a young age,
Sharpe had aspirations of being a player in the NBA, but around 12 years of
age, he turned his attention to pursuing a career in music. He was a student at
Lawrence High School. When Tecca was nine years old, Tecca acquiesced to his
interest in music by rapping with his friends using his Xbox. They would create
diss tracks directed at one another One of them was uploaded to SoundCloud
years ago, but was removed. At first, he did not have any plans to pursue a
career in music and he envisioned becoming a NBA superstar. But, during middle
school, he lost interest in basketball and considered taking the music
seriously. His debut single, "Tectri", which has gained some
attention in early 2017 was produced in collaboration and released by Lil
Gummybear. The other tracks he has released comprise "Callin" as well
as "Tectri". Tecca's career took off a year later with the hit single
"Ransom", which was uploaded to Cole Bennett's Lyrical Lemonade
YouTube channel in May 22 2019. The song peaked at number 4 on the Billboard
Hot 100 chart and has been able to get over 800 million plays on Spotify and
over 300 million views on YouTube.
